From The Atlantic Wire today we have Is Google TV the Wave of the Future. It is an interesting article with feedback from various people. I remember back a month or two ago Eric Schmidt, Google CEO, said that between 2 to 5 years the Internet and TV would blend together so that one would not know the difference and I could see Google being part of that. There are a great deal of peripheral TV products that connect Internet to TV available now at not to great a price.
To see what can be accomplished all one has to do is watch Live.TWit.TV. This comes down in HD quality. Could Google do this bigger and better? Why not? And why not now?
The story behind the TWiT network is fascinating and worth understanding and then watching some of the shows that Leo Laporte produces. Currently TWiT puts up over 15 shows a week and then repeats are run in the off hours. Not all of these shows regard Tech, some deal with what is happening in other fields such as Law, Biotech and science itself. When you are watching remember this is the Internet not you cable TV.
If you don’t think Internet/TV is upon us or that it will happen you are not watching or listening to what has been going on. See it and then project it out just a year or two. We will be there.
